As you get older you naturally lose hyaluronic acid and your lips shrink. The trick is to restore your lips so that they look like the lips you always had, or should have had!
Dermal lip fillers can be used to fill in lines and wrinkles around your lips, whilst adding back volume and definition.
The key to beautiful lips is that they remain looking natural. This is where my years of experience and skill come in - its all about knowing where to place the product for the most natural looking result and how much to place in order to achieve the best result. Too much and the lips can start to look a bit odd, I think we all know what I mean.
What is involved in a lip filler treatment?
At the clinic we only use FDA approved, non-permanent hyaluronic acid fillers that achieve beautifully natural looking lips. Hyaluronic fillers are dissolvable, so if if you don't like the result I can reverse it. Your results will last between 4-12 months depending on the filler you selected at consultation.
The procedure doesn’t take long, only 30-45 minutes. Your comfort is important to me and you can choose for me to use a dental block to completely numb the area or opt for a bit of aesthetic cream, whichever you prefer - there is no extra cost.
After treatment, your lips may be a bit swollen and bruising can occur. I will ask you to keep your lips as clean as possible for the first 48 hours, so no swimming pools, spas, old lip sticks or kissing. Any swelling usually goes down quickly and I like to book you in for a review after 2 weeks to make sure all is perfect.
Before and after pictures
I am sure many of you know the lovely Becky in our team. Who happens to be the current winner of Aesthetician of the Year in Scotland, so she has a critical eye, which meant when she asked me to enhance her lips - I have to admit I was nervous. But as you can see in the before and after photos I got a lovely result and Becky is delighted.
I used Volift® to create a natural look and feel for Becky and the results will last up to 12 months. The first picture was taken just before Becky’s treatment and the second picture a day later after the initial swelling had reduced.
If you would like to enhance your lips then please speak to a member of our team and book in for a face to face consultation with myself so that we can discuss this treatment in more detail.
