What to expect during your CoolSculpting procedure

• No general or topical anesthetics or pain medication is required.
• Applicator cup uses a gentle vacuum pressure to draw tissue between the cooling panels.
• You may feel a cooling sensation in the procedure area which will go away after a few minutes.
• You will either sit or lie down during your procedure, depending on the area being treated.
• The procedure will take either 1 or 2 hours depending on the number of placements.
• You may read, listen to music or simply relax during the treatment.

What to expect immediately after the CoolSculpting

• There is no recovery time. you may resume normal activities following the procedure.
• Tissue may look or feel stiff immediately after the procedure. This is normal and dissipates within an hour.
• The treated area will be reddened for approximately an hour after the applicator is removed.
• The vacuum can cause bruising and tenderness to the touch which typically resolve within the first 3 weeks.
• You may feel a temporary dulling of sensation or numbness in the treated area. This is normal and will start to resolve within a few hours, but may take up to eight weeks to fully recover.
