The Inman Aligner is a fast and safe solution for crowding or protrusion of the front teeth. With the Inman Aligner, your front teeth can be gently guided to an ideal position in a matter of weeks. Most cases complete in 6-16 weeks and because it's removable you can take it out to fit with your lifestyle. The Inman Aligner gives you a real alternative to traditional orthodontic treatments.
Why choose the Inman Aligner?
The Inman Aligner is so efficient it works faster than alternate orthodontic techniques with the following benefits:
Faster results for straight front teeth - typically 6 to 16 weeks
Fewer dental appointments - ideal if you have a hectic life since the appliance does not normally need adjusting when you treat it with care
Removable - you can remove it to eat, clean your teeth and for photos and special occasions
Lower cost - as it is so effective most customers only need one appliance and so this treatment costs less than invisible braces
What to expect when wearing the aligner
Like any orthodontic appliance, the Inman Aligner can feel a little uncomfortable for the first few days and it will affect your speech during this time. However, after just a week your mouth will adjust and your speech will return to being normal as you start to become less aware of the appliance. After two weeks most clients are used to their aligner and have no problems wearing it.
The Inman Aligner will only work for you if you wear it every day for the treatment time. Ideally you must wear the aligner for 20 hours a day. You must always remove the Inman Aligner before eating and you should clean your teeth and your aligner before you refit it back into your mouth. It is OK to take your aligner out for work presentations, photos and special occasions as long as it is not longer than a few hours.
How does the Inman Aligner work?
The aligner has Nickel Titanium coil springs that power two aligner bows that gently oppose each other, guiding the teeth into their new position.
These gentle forces are active over a very large range of movement, which is why the Inman Aligner works so quickly.
Play the video to see how the squeeze effect of the two aligner bows on the front teeth work. The inner bow pushes forwards, while the outer bow pulls back on the front teeth.
What's involved in the treatment plan?
Our dental surgeons will determine if the Inman Aligner is suitable for you at a free consultation. If so then:
Impressions are taken to fabricate your custom made Inman Aligner
Our dental surgeons will initially fit your aligner
You must wear the aligner 16-20 hours a day
Our dental surgeons will recall you every 2-3 weeks for regular checks
As with other orthodontic treatments, after treatment is completed, retention is recommended for life to prevent relapse. Retention can come in the form of a lingually bonded retainer or an Essix retainer.
