Dermaroller Therapy

Genuine Dermaroller Therapy provides advanced micro-medical skin-needling, a procedure that stimulates the natural production of collagen to regenerate and repair the skin naturally and safely, creating smoother, brighter, healthier, younger-looking skin.  Dermaroller Therapy can significantly improve the appearance of:

How does the Dermaroller work?

Our highly skilled practitioners who are fully qualified in the Dermaroller will use the it to produce thousands of micro-medical needle-columns in the skin. Each column will penetrate into the dermis of the skin and will be approximately 0.1mm in width. The column will close rapidly enabling the skin to recover quickly - often in the same day.

After a Dermaroller procedure your body will start to naturally regenerate collagen and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement.

For best result a course of three Dermaroller procedures spaced approximately 6 weeks between is recommended. In the treatment of acne scars and other types of scarring it may be necessary for your practitioner to extend your Dermaroller course to five procedures in order to achieve the agreed results.

Your comfort during all of our treatments is very important to you and to us. We have a magic numbing cream, especially made for Face and Body, that works very quickly around the eyes - taking only 15 mins for your skin to be blissfully numb. For a treatment elsewhere you will need between 30 - 45 minutes.

Dermaroller post procedure care

Immediately after your Dermaroller procedure you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after 2 hours and will normally recover within the same day with only slight redness the following day.

Your practitioner may apply a cream after the procedure to help soothe and calm the skin, continue to use until the redness has cleared.  Use tepid water to cleanse the face for the following 48 hours and dry gently, always make sure your hands are clean when touching the treated area. We recommended that you do not apply make-up for 12 hours after the procedure unless it is Jane Iredale Mineral Make-up, which due to its purity will be fine.

If you will be in daylight immediately after the procedure you should apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with at least  SPF50 and we would recommend Heliocare Cream or Gel. Continue to apply this on a daily basis for at least two weeks even during the winter or on cloudy days. In the days following your Dermaroller procedure as the skin starts to regenerate and repair it may well feel drier than normal.
