How does Microsclerotherapy work?

A Sclerovein solution is introduced superficially into the veins, causing the lining of the vein to swell and become sticky. Compression is then applied by wearing a compression stocking in order to close the vein. The vein heals closed and fades away.

Compression stockings must be worn following treatment and are an integral part of the success of the treatment. They should be worn day and night for at least 72 hours then for 7 days longer, you may take them off at night.

Please bring a suspender belt to your appointments. The stockings are thick and tight so this treatment is more comfortable during the cooler months.
