Ultherapy the Ultimate in Skin Lifting

Why is Ultherapy a unique skin lifting treatment, which areas can it treat and how does it work? 1
How can your skin look lifted, toned and tightened without undergoing the knife? Ultherapy is one non-surgical option to consider. Let me explain why I consider it to be the ultimate skin lifting treatment and a unique solution.

Ultherapy is unique

You have many choices to treat skin laxity in an ageing face. These span from lifestyle choices to non-surgical options such as muscle relaxing injections, dermal fillers, laser, radiofrequency, Ultherapy to surgical procedures.
Ultherapy is unique, as it bridges the gap between non-surgical procedures and surgery by being the only FDA approved treatment for lifting and tightening skin.

How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy uses micro-focused ultrasound energy. This means the system delivers controlled energy to very particular areas within your skin, at a careful depth that is carefully monitored with ultra-sound scanning to ensure effective results as well as your comfort.
Incredibly, when the micro-focused ultrasound energy is fired, it only heats your deep skin tissue, totally bypassing your skin’s surface and leaving it unaffected.
The beauty of Ultherapy is that it treats your skin from deep within, the very foundation of your skin’s structure. This then initiates your body’s healing response, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin which ultimately lifts and tightens the skin over time.

Is Ultherapy painful?

Due to Ultherapy heating your deep skin tissue, you may feel some warmth. Different areas of your skin will feel varying levels of sensations, but generally it is completely bearable when in the hands of an expert.
Some may describe the sensation as a current under the skin. Whilst you are having your Ultherapy treatment - you can freely communicate with your practitioner allowing them to adjust your treatment to improve your comfort levels.

Which areas can be treated with Ultherapy?

Ultherapy may be used to lift and tighten skin around:
  • Your brow
  • Your lower face (cheek area)
  • Perioral region (around your mouth)
  • Submental (under your chin)
  • Your neck
  • Your décolletage

Proactively boost collagen levels

If you may want to slow the development od skin laxity by boosting your collagen levels - then Ultherapy can be used very effectively as a proactive approach.

Ultherapy for the non-surgical patient

You may have been told that you are a candidate for surgery, but might not wish to pursue this route. Whilst Ultherapy cannot provide the same results as surgery, it is the only non-surgical procedure that reaches the same layers of skin addressed in a surgical facelift and will provide best alternative results.

Ultherapy for the post-surgical patient

Even after surgery, your skin will continue to age. Ultherapy may be incorporated into a post-surgical care plan to help maintain and prolong the results obtained from surgery.

Who cannot have Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is not suitable for patients with:
  • Severe or cystic acne of the face and neck
  • Pacemakers and electronic device implants in the treatment area
