Skin peels use acids and enzymes to reduce the visible appearance of open pores, dead skin cells, blemishes, acne and pigmentation. There are three types of peel: superficial, medium and deep. Deep peels can also help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
When professional administered chemical peels are safe and effective. Our aestheticians use superficial peels in our medi-facials and medium peels in treating acne and correcting moderate pigmentation. Our deep peel is only provided by our Clinical Director, Dr Victoria, to treat severe sun damage, large pores and comedones.
Obagi Blue Peel
This deep peel gets it name from combining the Tricloracetic Acid (TCA) with a blue solution that enables Dr Victoria to precisely control the depth and coverage of the peel. As result your face will appear blue immediately after treatment, but this quickly fades.
The precision of the Obagi Blue Peel allows Dr Victoria to safely peel away more layers of skin to remove problems buried deeper in your skin and thus turn back the clock 5 years. This is the world's leading and most powerful skin peel.
The application of the peel typically takes 20 minutes during which you may experience a mild burning sensation. Following the peel, light swelling occurs and your skin will begin to peel within 2-3 days. You will continue to peel up to 10 days after which you will see significant improvement in your skin.

Obagi Blue Peel preparation and aftercare
Before you can have an Obagi Blue Peel you must prepare your skin using Obagi Nu-Derm skin care for 6 weeks prior to the peel. After your peel you will have 7-10 days downtime as the peeling is very visible. During this recovery period you must stay out of strong sunlight as your newly revealed skin will be sensitive to the sun. You must continue to use the Nu-Derm skin care to aid recovery and achieve the best possible results.
"I had some spots and sun damage, and I hated them! My experience has been brilliant.....my skin looks younger, smoother and many of the spots have disappeared. I feel more confident about myself and I am very happy."
