CoolSculpting the non-surgical alternative to Liposuction

CoolSculpting uses the ZELTIQ system, which we have specially imported from America and is FDA approved for the treatment of fat. During a one to two hour treatment your selected area of fat is chilled down to a temperature which affects fat cells, but not other cells.
Over the next few weeks, the fat cells die off and are removed by the lymphatic system and the liver. The body will not replace these fat cells in this area.
On average each procedure results in t least a 20% permanent reduction of fat in the treated area and patients can start to see results in three weeks with the most dramatic results showing at four months.
Unlike Liposuction or Laser Lipo, CoolSculpting is a walk in walk out treatment that involves no needles, surgery or downtime and minimal discomfort.
What to expect during your CoolSculpting procedure
No general or topical anesthetics or pain medication is required.
Applicator cup uses a gentle vacuum pressure to draw tissue between the cooling panels.
You may feel a cooling sensation in the procedure area which will go away after a few minutes.
You will either sit or lie down during your procedure, depending on the area being treated.
The procedure will take either 1 or 2 hours depending on the number of placements.
You may read, listen to music or simply relax during the treatment.
What to expect immediately after the CoolSculpting
You may resume normal activities following the procedure, but we do recommend a period of rest immediately afterwards.
Tissue may look or feel stiff immediately after the procedure. This is normal and dissipates within an a few hours.
The treated area will be reddened for approximately an hour after the applicator is removed.
The vacuum pressure used in the treatment can cause bruising and tenderness to the touch, which typically resolves within the first 3 weeks.
You may feel a temporary dulling of sensation or numbness in the treated area. This is normal and will start to resolve within a few hours, but may take up to 8 weeks to disappear.
